How do I link my Mango profile to my library? (Mobile)

First, make sure your local library offers Mango Languages to its patrons. If you are uncertain, check HERE.

Download the Mango Languages mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android). If you don't yet have a Mango profile, open the app, tap the Try Free & Sign Up button, select the language you want to study, take the first lesson, and create your profile. If you already have a Mango profile, tap Sign In at the bottom of the screen and enter your login information.

Search for your Library

Tap the icon in the upper right hand corner. In the menu that slides out from the right, tap Upgrade Account. You can also tap the Unlock More Lessons button at the bottom of the page. On the next screen, tap Get in the Free box

Tap the Search bar at the top of the screen in order to search for the library of which you are a patron. In order to search for your library, type in the Name of the Library or your ZIP Code (US or Canada). In the example screen shot below, we searched for Chicago Public Library by simply searching the word "Chicago".

Authentication

Each library authenticates differently. Some libraries require just your library card number, and others require more information. Depending on what you see after searching for your library, following the directions 1 or 2.

1. After searching for your library and tapping on your library's name, enter your library card number (as in the screen shot below). If this is what you see, enter your Library Card Number and tap Done or Go on the keyboard. If you entered your library card number correctly it will say Success!  Tap Continue to access more lessons.

2. If, after searching for your library and selecting it, it takes you to the Get Free Access to Mango screen, click the Continue button to be redirected to your library's website for authentication. You will redirected within the app. The page that you arrive at will vary from library to library. (We have used the St. Louis County Library as an example.) Enter the information the website asks for and click the Accept or Submit button. Typically this will include a combination of name/username, library card number, and/or a PIN number. After entering your information correctly, tap the Submit, Done, or Go. Tap Continue to access more lessons.
