What will I need to register?
To register, entrants will be required to provide a name, basic contact, school information, required contest materials, and a verifiable email address linked to an eligible academic institution. No purchase necessary. Verifications will occur during judging and once winners are chosen.
I’m a teacher in Puerto Rico. Can I enter the competition?
This contest is void in Puerto Rico. Individuals outside of the United States or the District of Columbia are ineligible for this contest due to legal and taxation considerations, as well as any and all U.S. territories and possessions and where prohibited by law.
I teach Early Childhood classrooms. Can I enter the competition?
The contest is open to Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Can I submit more than one lesson plan?
Limit one entry per individual. Multiple entries from the same school or institution are allowed, as long as those entries are submitted by different individuals. Entries will be accepted from eligible Participants only; groups, organizations and joint entries are not eligible.
I already have Mango — can I enter?
Current Mango users are not eligible. Only those educators representing institutions who are not currently, or have not, in the previous six (6) months, been a Mango Languages customer will be qualified to participate in this competition.
Can I edit my entry once submitted?
Once submitted, all submissions are final and cannot be changed, adjusted, or edited in any way, unless at the sole discretion of Mango Languages. An entrant can pull their entry at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and requesting that we delete their submission.
Do I have to purchase anything to win?
No purchase necessary. Purchasing any new services or software for the purposes of entering this Contest is prohibited. Please do not include any mention specific products or brand names of educational software in your lesson plan submission.
It is not necessary to implement Mango Languages into the lesson plan, however, we do provide a free trial for the duration of the contest and until the final winners are announced.
What will happen to entries after the competition ends?
By entering the Contest, entrant consents to the use of his or her name, pictures, likenesses, voices, biographical data, and/or any information contained in his or her entry in advertising, promotion and marketing materials throughout the world, including on the Internet, by Mango and/or Mango’s promotional partners and third-party marketing entities, without additional compensation, notice, review, or approval. Nothing contained in these Official Rules obligates Mango to make use of any of the rights granted herein and winner waives any right to inspect or approve any such use.
By submission of entry, entrant agrees that Mango Languages may ask to participate in marketing efforts such as a case study or other similar or related efforts and that all entry materials become the property of Mango and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The copyright in any entry shall remain the property of the entrant, but entry into this contest constitutes entrant’s irrevocable and perpetual permission and consent, without further compensation, with or without attribution, to use, reproduce, print, publish, transmit, distribute, sell, perform, adapt, enhance, or display such entry, and the entrant’s name and/or likeness, for any purpose, including but not limited to editorial, advertising, trade, commercial, and publicity purposes by Mango and/or others authorized by Mango, in any and all media now in existence or hereinafter created, throughout the world, for the duration or the copyright in the entry. Mango and/or others authorized by Mango shall have the right to edit, adapt, and modify the entry.
In such cases, Mango Languages will acknowledge and give credit to the individuals who submitted the lesson plans.
Will my ideas/lesson plan be shared publicly?
Upon entering the contest, you agree that your entry may be shared to a Mango Languages public community area on www.mangolanguages.com or a similar site, as well as Mango Languages’ social media platforms. You agree that certain selected submissions may be shared with other educators to view and/or download. In such cases, Mango Languages will acknowledge and give credit to the individuals who submitted the lesson plans.
Can others from my school enter?

What qualifies my school/my professional credentials as suitable to enter?
Any full-time, employed school teachers, administrators, district technology coordinators, school librarians, principals, and employees of non-profit charter schools, etc., of grades K–12, who have an active, valid, and verifiable email address from an academic institution, may enter.
