Why beneficial for Students?

Self motivated students can read websites in the target language, and when they come upon a word they don't know, they can easily see the translation. They can also add that word to a personalized vocabulary list in the Mango program. Then, upon returning to Mango, they can study that Vocabulary list as a series of flash cards. This allows them to retain this new vocabulary longer and more effectively.

Why beneficial for Teachers?

Teachers will no doubt want to make their own vocabulary lists in Mango. But instead of coming up with a list of words on their own, teachers could suggest a website written in the target language for students to consume. They could create a list of vocabulary words for the student to review in the Mango program. Or then ask the students to write a summary about the article, while Mango Reader reader to helps them through the reading process. If the students find a word they do not personally know, they create their own Vocabulary list to review later in Mango.
